Wood fences from our Frankfort crews

Why homeowners pick wood
Full backyard privacy
Tight cedar boards block the view from neighbors and the street, which is why most wood jobs are privacy fences.
Cedar handles moisture better than most woods
Cedar has natural oils that help it resist rot and insects, which matters in Indiana's humid summers. It still weathers to gray over time unless you seal it.
Upkeep is part of owning wood
Staining or sealing every few years keeps the color and slows weathering. Boards can be replaced one at a time if one gets damaged.
A look you can customize
Board style, top cap, trim and gate design can all be adjusted, so the fence can match your house.

Wood fence questions
Cedar or pressure treated pine?
Cedar resists rot and insects on its own and tends to stay straighter. Pressure treated pine is treated with chemicals to resist rot and usually costs less. At your estimate, ask us to price both so you can compare.
Do I need to stain or seal a cedar fence?
You don't have to, but cedar left bare will turn silver gray. Sealing or staining keeps the color longer and helps the wood shed water. Ask us at the estimate about when to apply the first coat.
How does a wood fence hold up to Indiana storms?
Post setting and spacing matter most in high wind. We drive galvanized steel posts with the iDrive Power System whenever conditions allow. Ask us during the estimate how we would set posts on your property.
Can you add gates to a wood fence?
Yes. We plan gate size and placement with you during the estimate, including walk gates and wider gates for equipment.
How much does a cedar fence cost?
It depends on the length, height, style and number of gates. The free estimate gives you a price for your yard.
